Privacy Policy

• Account — your email address and display name, used to create and secure your account and sign you in.
• Content you create — playlists, routines, saved items, journal entries, and mood check-ins. These are private to your account.
• Community — if you join a group, your membership and the messages you send in it are stored so the group works.
• Purchases — if you buy content or a subscription, a record of the purchase is kept. Payment itself is processed by the app store or payment provider; we do not store card details.

• Activity— what you listen to and your progress (listening history, program progress), so we can show “recently played”, resume playback, and improve the app.
• Device & presence — approximate country, device operating system, browser, and last-seen time, used for security and basic, aggregate analytics.

If you use prayer times, the qibla compass, or nearby mosques, the app uses your device location to calculate accurate prayer times and direction and to find mosques near you. You are asked for permission first, and you can decline or enter a location manually. If you save a location for prayer times, it is stored with your prayer settings; otherwise it is used on your device and not retained.

With your permission we send reminders (for example prayer times, daily verse, and routine nudges). To deliver these we store a push notification token via Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings or in the app.

• Provide, personalize, and improve the app and its content.
• Keep your account secure and prevent abuse.
• Send the reminders and notifications you opt into.
• Provide community group features you choose to use.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We share data only with providers that help us run Nur:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notifications.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Data is encrypted in transit.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can request a copy of your data or delete your account and its associated data by contacting us at hello@nurapp.io. Deleting your account removes your profile, content, history, and notification tokens.

Nur is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
